The Quick Draw artists donate their time, materials and talent for your enjoyment and to help raise money for Haywood County art teachers for supplies and college scholarships. The artwork is auctioned off and the artist donates 50% or more of the auction sale. We are very honored that some of the artists donate 100% of the auction sale. This week the artists received their percentage.
Check back on Monday for an important announcement about our scholarship winners.

Just wanted to give you a little feedback on this year’s event. As usual, we had a wonderful time and look forward to it every year.

First, a complement! For the first time since we’ve been coming, there was no blown circuit breaker toward the end! Don’t know if you guys had anything to do with that or not, but it was great for Ken not to have to try to finish up in the dark without a dryer! Thanks!
I do have one complaint, however. My table was situated in what should have been a most advantageous spot, just to the right of the podium where the event coordinator(s) made announcements. In the best of all worlds, when attendees turned the corner from the first room to come up the “aisle” to go into the second room, my table would have been visible directly in front of them. Unfortunately, since one of the committee members was almost always at the podium to my left, any other committee member or friend of a committee member who was present tended to gather in front of the podium and therefore, in front of my table, effectively blocking it from traffic, conversation and view during much of the event. Suggest you either relocate the podium next year, or allow enough space between the podium and the table to the left that a congregation of chatters won’t interfere with the individual at that table. Anyway…………looking forward to next year!
